Opossums are nocturnal marsupials that often seek shelter under decks, in crawl spaces, or even inside garages when they find easy access to food and shelter. While generally non-aggressive, opossums can cause a range of problems, including scattering trash, contaminating areas with droppings, and sometimes carrying parasites or diseases that can affect pets and humans. Our wildlife control team is experienced in humane opossum removal, employing proven techniques to safely capture and relocate these animals while thoroughly inspecting your property for entry points and potential attractants. We also provide comprehensive sanitation and exclusion services to prevent future infestations, helping you maintain a clean, safe, and opossum-free environment.
Successfully removing opossums from your property begins with a comprehensive inspection to locate active den sites, entry points, and food sources that may be attracting them. Our skilled technicians use humane live trapping methods to safely capture and relocate opossums, ensuring compliance with local wildlife regulations. Once removal is complete, we thoroughly seal all access points, recommend practical steps such as securing trash bins and eliminating outdoor food sources, and provide cleanup services to address any contamination, giving you long-term protection against future opossum problems.
Place baited live traps in areas where opossum activity is observed, such as near entry points or under decks. Use appropriate bait like fruits, cat food, or peanut butter, and check traps frequently to ensure the animals are not left inside for extended periods. Once captured, opossums should be relocated in accordance with local wildlife regulations, ideally by a professional to ensure humane and legal handling.
Conduct a thorough inspection of the property to identify and seal all possible entry points, including gaps under decks, holes in crawl spaces, and openings around sheds or garages. Use durable materials such as hardware cloth or metal flashing to prevent re-entry, and install barriers or skirting where needed. Exclusion should be performed only after confirming all opossums have been removed to avoid trapping animals inside.
Eliminate attractants by securing trash bins with tight-fitting lids, promptly removing fallen fruit or pet food left outdoors, and keeping yards tidy. Clear brush piles, wood stacks, and dense vegetation that provide shelter for opossums. Motion-activated lights and sprinklers can also serve as effective deterrents by making the area less inviting to these nocturnal animals.

mark and his partner are great guys. prices are great compared to other companies. mark heat treated our place and my wife was convinced the bugs were at here parents place also. so marks partner went over there and did a inspection. we all were already for sure her parents had them and were ready to schedule a heat treatment for their house as well. after the inspection we were told we were wrong, it was just a similar looking, harmless bug and there was no need for the treatment. i will recommend these guys for sure.
